That sounds like a bit of a step back mate. I am not a big fan of QLD, but to Hobart? I find that Aussie people in their younger years kind of suck wherever you go anyway. When we get older we seem to mellow out a lot Did you know that we are now the biggest bullies in the world now? That's what I read the other day somewhere.
I quite liked launceston. People from Devonport used to go there to do lappies and pick up the Lonny girls. I am so glad I escaped and now know how retarded life is there. If you want to see the nicest parts, go to the great lakes and the other parts of the midlands. It is amazing there. Life changing for some. |

Chucking a spinner or tassie devil around the great lake, dropping a fly from a canoe out at Cressie or Longford, looking out a tentflap to a sunrise anywhere on the northeast or far southeast coast, or paddling a seakayak out from Musselroe Bay...... why are we in asia again???? |

Hey, if it's any comfort, I'm sure Canadians would flush echidnas down toilets too, if we had any.
Echdinas that is. |

My family always asked me that when I first moved over. I had the travel bug bad and the only place I found that satisfied me was Korea due to the fact that I could learn every time I walked out the front door. And the fact that I really enjoyed speaking the language. I guess after living in Korea, if you can handle the slow pace and backward people, you'll appreciate being in Tas. The first time I went back and was flying over Devonport, I couldn't help but laugh at what a backward place it is.
I will always call Tasmania my home. I reckon that the best city is Melbourne by far, but the beauty of Tasmania when you really go inland is amazing. I was in the scouts for a while as a kid and because of that, I got to see some awesome places. Like I mentioned, try the great lakes. You won't be disappointed. Or around Stanley and Smithton on the North west coast. |
