Thanks to MOE I get to teach a teacher's class about Moon Survival.

I predict it will go something like this.

"Have you ever been to the moon?"

"What?"

"What you ever been to the moon?"

(Stern look)

"No."

"I have. It's very cold."

"Why we have lesson about moon?"

"Don't you know? Everyone speaks english on the moon."

Any advice? The absurd the better. They've given me a lesson plan but it's not funny enough. Not as funny as the hospital one that lists Menstrual cramps as one of the vocab words I must teach.

Is that the old 'rank these items for survival on the moon' thang? That old trick's been around for ages, it's never worked for me though.

Try some other task based ranking task. In groupd choose ten items to take to a desert island you're all going to live on together. Or the old 'which people on this list will be sent into space to survive the earth's annihilation, the spacecraft has only seven seats but there are 12 people or something.

The rank these items thing is part of it.... but there's so much more. It's a 45 minute lesson someone decided to make up based on survival on the moon.
I don't see how I can teach K teachers (well in general) anything, especially a lesson based on moon survival.

"Yes. Much english is taught on the moon."

"Same same as earth?"

"Moon men have the best ESL system and Kimchi."
