So apparently it has to be prescribe here. Ridiculous. It's a completely harmless supplement.

Same for other things like melatonin and omeprazole or Prilosec OTC. Korea has a very strict drug and controlled substance system in place. They clamped down on everything several years back when the doctors used to directly over deal powerful drugs. Now, you can't even get over the counter anything, except very weak and I mean very weak, ibuprofen and a few supplements like crazy over priced Omega 3 capsules. Anything medical or health related is extremely scaled back as compared to what you see in America. Apparently American over the counter things are not illegal in Korea, but the Red Door is the only store I know of that sells them. While America is over medicated, Korea is under medicated.

Funny thing is, if you're taking a trip to Thailand, you can get supplements and almost any thing over the counter. Thai products are practically identical to American products as they are fairly accurate copy cats and there are more things from the West readily available.
