I'm arriving in Korea in mid-February and am thinking of staying in Seoul/Itaewon for a couple of days before going on to my job in Mokpo. So I have a few questions:
1. Can anyone recommend any clean but cheap hotels in the area?
2. What should I see to give me a first impression of the country?
3. Recommendations for bars/restaurants in Seoul? I know this is a huge question that has been tackled on this forum elsewhere, but think of it from a short-stop tourist's perspective.
Thanks! |

#1) I dunno, but other posters will undoubtedly arrive here to help you out sooner or later. (I live in Itaewon, so no need for me to get a hotel room around here). Just bump the thread tomorrow if it gets low on the page.
#2) Depends. What kind of first impression do you want?
#3) Also depends. What kind of food and atmosphere do you like?
Sorry for the lack of assistance, but I think if you're a little more specific it would be helpful to others in providing some suggestions.
Have a safe trip,

Re: #2: I want to see the best and worst, hence Itaewon.
