Good morning!
Some friends/associates and I have recently launched a Web-based literary journal: www.ExPatLit.com - A Literary Review for Writers Abroad.
As the title suggests, this little project is meant to showcase excellent essays, short stories, and poems which connect to themes of travel and work/life abroad. Given the plurality of expats who frequent this forum, I thought I'd pass along the URL and see if any amateur (or veteran!) writers care to submit.
Of course, new e-zines don't have much credibility, but we've been listed at a number of writing market sources (including duotrope.com), and we've received a couple dozen unsolicited submissions since late December - so I'm optimistic about our growth potential.
Check us out if you're interested, and please feel free to share any constructive comments you might have. |

Seems interesting, definitely a good idea and an important market - Keep us posted when the new editions go live. |

Just thought I'd share that we've published the first edition of ExPatLit.com. If you're interested in reading, I'd certainly appreciate your feedback. This project has been...challenging in ways I didn't anticipate, but I'm pleased with what we've put together. It's certainly not perfect, but it's a good first step I think. |
