I want to learn archery but I don't know where to go to learn. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about and should just find an archery range and practice...but I am curious about Korean archery technique specifically as it seems to have a large history here.
any info is welcome! thanks |

There are two types of archery in Korea: Olympic (FITA) and traditional. The former has been pretty much a closed society, while the latter is open to all. I have been practicing Korean traditional archery since '93. Today, there are many Westerners enjoying this activity (a few of them are members of this board). As there are well over 300 clubs around the country, you can almost certainly find a club near you; I have a listing somewhere, so if you are interested and PM me, I'll let you know. |

Where do you live, Bob?
I'm a member of a traditional archery range in NE Seoul. There are around 12 in the Seoul area. If you tell me where you live, I could probably tell you the closest one. |

THANK YOU!! That's awesome, Dong-gu isn't too far from me. My boss actually lives over in that direction.
I really appreciate it. |

In addition to those, there is one in Guri City called Ondal-Jung, though it is just temporary. It might be the closest one to you at the moment |
