Funny video I found on youtube. A westerner has his Korean brother in-law trying to get him to go to his church.

I've had more conversion attempts here than I have had back home.
My supervisor at my very last school gave me the god speech but she was kind enough to leave it to my last day there. |

| It's amazing, the Christianity here. Not only have they accepted an absurd set of propositions, but they have taken to worshiping a white man. |

| Yup and you haven't lived until you've ended up in a Korean Christian Coffee Shop. I never experienced so much anger and resentment while sipping a cup of coffee. Then again I was living in Daegu at the time. |

| It happened 2 days ago! I was in a funny mood, so humoured the poor woman who kept lamely pointing at the words 'God is life' in her little book. I gave my name and number - 'Joseph Mary 010 1234 5666'. She seemed happy enough about the whole thing.. |

| Do you remember the "mother of god" people? They were really, really trying hard to get whitey. They would ask you if you knew about the mother of god. If you were foolish enough to suggest it was Mary, they would want to drive you to another location to teach you the truth. As it turned out, the mother of god was an ajumma. Who knew? |

Technically Jesus was a middle-easterner, even though he's more popularly depicted as an Aryan.
And yes, we've all had the Jesus vampires come after us. Just the other day, some woman came to my apartment at work and was pressuring my wife to give her information about the foreigner who lived there. At first my wife thought it was some sort of census thing or immigration and I was in trouble, then it turned out she just wanted my soul.
One group that targets foreigners is the Church of the Heavenly Mother, or something like that. They believe their leader is the wife of God, God having died a couple of years ago.
Anyway, I guess it's karma, because Christianity was brought to this country by us foreigners, and then most of us figured out it was a waste of time, money, and life, then we come here and get it thrown back in our faces. |

I love those people. The seem to have created an entire religion based on a mistranslation of the bible.
"The bible says we created man and woman in our image, so there's a father AND a mother. |

Not just a mistranslation; it was selective quotes cut and pasted to persuade. I was approached by a couple of college-age girls who had this audio recorder message (in English; they couldn't speak it) pontificating their beliefs in a fluid, continuous manner. What was not fluid and continuous however, were the quotes in the Bible. While I was listening to their recording, they were very expertly flipping back and forth to select Bible quotes while going with the audio flow. Twas an interesting observation. |

I'm pretty sure we're talking about the same cult. Wasn't she the wife of God, rather than the mother? The cult originally was started by her husband.
And yeah, I did their survey once. It's worth a laugh. |

| Once I was sleeping soundly between a split shift when I heard the chime on my door. Failing to prep, I opened the door with my long hair frazzled, tattoos a plenty showing, fully gooateed I asked, "What!?" The two older Korean ladies were visibly shaken but pursued. Out | |
