I want a wireless network at home.
What do I need? Should I buy the stuff at yongsan or should I just get it from my internet company? My computer is set up for it already..
I guess I just need a wireless router right? My gameboy DS will be able to use it too, right? |

Yep...just get a wireless router and the DS can use it.....you don't have to spend a ton on it btw(50k+ won).
Don't get it from your internet company... |

Get a cheap wireless router than can handle the "N" standard for the best speeds.
Then buy a cheap netbook and you have total freedom to watch movies, TV, surf the internet, do work anywhere in your apartment.
You wont regret it. |

Hey guys,
I've just bought a wireless router from techno mart. The IpTIME N604. Unfortunately, the instructions are all in Korean... has anyone set one of these up before? Ideally I'd have it set up so that it is not connected to any computer via a wire. Is this possible? I want to have my laptop and Ipod Touch wire free.
Thanks for any help I get! |

the whole reason for the existence of a wireless router is to not have your computer connected to anything via wire
sorry, i couldn't help it...it seemed the biggest obvious statement
that being said, i have helped a lot of people in the us fix them, but have never actually set one up myself so i won't be of much use to set one up. i do want to get one myself though in the next few weeks so unless all the korean words are similar sounding to the english terms (*fingers crossed*) then i will have trouble too. everyone at work is computer illiterate so i don't know what i'll do when i get one |

| Ha ha. I thought that I could have it not connect to my computer, but the pictures that come with the Korean manual clearly have it connecting the computer too. Bah.... I'll try to play with it tonight and see what works. |

| Keep playing...it does NOT have to be connected to your computer. I made that mistake at first, too! |

Hey!
I've gotten finally to the part where I have to put in my ID and password. I told the guy who was setting up my internet that I would be using a router, so he quickly jotted it down. (He wouldn't have given it to me otherwise). Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work. I assume I just can read his writing.
Anyone know if MEGAPASS uses IDs that are 8 and passwords that are one letter and then 5 numbers? |

Mine are both 8 letters and written on a sticker on the bottom of my modem. |

Toss
I've had three Linksys all have lasted 1-2 years, all cost a fair wedge
1 Chinese made one - 1 Force or something like that 20,000 Won two years and still going strong. |

| Mine is Chinese made, IP time, and the instructions are in Korean. I'm pretty sure once I get my password from MEGAPASS, I'll be good to go. Pretty sure.... hoping... wishing... |

| I've had my best luck with Belkin, as long as I turn off the overly-strong firewall. |
