Hey there,
I have a buddy visiting me from back home this weekend and he likes sports, so I want to take him to a live sporting event here in Seoul. I am having trouble finding tickets online, or even information for that matter, about basketball, soccer, judo, university sports, etc. Anything, really. Any links or tips or sports venues' locations would be helpful.
Thanks! |

Some friends and I want to go to the game this Saturday.
Any help on getting from Anyang Station to the Anyang Ice Arena? |

Hop in a taxi and ask him to take you to 안양 운동장.
Not too far. Beomgye Station is closer, though, I think. |

Both Seoul Sk have a home game this Sunday in the korean basketball league...they play LG who have been pretty good this season, should be a good match-up. Holds about 7500 people and gets really noisy.
Usually gets pretty packed and sells out a lot so might have to roll up about 1pm for tickets to the 3pm game.
They play out of the Seoul students Olympic gynasium (not the main basketball stadium)
Subway station is line 2 종합 운동장 (Olympic stadium ??), exit 8...it is near jamshil Station. |

It says "Sports Complex"
I went to see the Samsung Thunders play LG last weekend and it was quite entertaining. |

I plan on going to a KBL game eventually. I've watched a few game on television.
I find it hard to watch sometimes when you are used to watching the NBA. |

Whenever you go, make sure to sit in the supporting section of the home team. There is a man in a suit, who I thought of as a mix between a male cheerleader and an orchestra conductor, who leads the masses in cheers throughout the whole game. It's hilarious.

I would compare the competitive level of the KBL to that of a college basketball game, but that's being generous. However, the crowd gets into it and I was extremely entertained. |
