5 days is not long.
I'd probably do a Japan trip ----- Osaka + Kyoto are a good combo for 5 days. Nice balance between a big city and smaller historical place.
Getting to Osaka won't break the bank either, the way SE Asia flights are at the moment. |

| Try but I think you wouldnt be able to get seats back. Going is usually no problem. Maybe if you try routing through Fukuoka or Japan? |

Expedia.com? www.kayak.com
He quoted it in dollars so those are good bets. |

The Japanese airlines, ANA and especially JAL, do indeed tend to be relatively cheap for a lot of destinations from Korea to places other than Japan.
However, I'm pretty sure you won't get anything going via Fukuoka; for the simple reason that all of the international routes out of Fukuoka are now operated by foreign airlines only. A few years ago JAL and ANA dropped all of their international routes from Fukuoka. JAL do have codeshare arrangements with Korean Air, Cathay Pacific and some others too and ANA codeshare with Asiana and others.
So if you get a flight via Japan it'll be via Narita, Kansai or Chubu.
If you wanted something a bit different from (mainland) Japan, have you thought of Okinawa? |
