Conditions:
1) Contract Period: One year (can be extended upon instructor��s outstanding performances and mutual agreement)
2) Hours: minimum 17 lecture hours a week
3) Payment: 1.9~2.4 million won a month + Overtime
4) Housing: 30 million won key money or 200,000 won monthly allowance
5) Vacation: 6 weeks paid/ 2 months unpaid (optional)
6) Medical Insurance: 50% range of Health Insurance Premiums
7) Pension: the university will match your pension according to your salary (Some countries have different regulations. Please see the National Pension Office. )
Severance Pay: according to Korean National Laws, the average of 3 months salary upon completion of one year contract |

As they are not going to pay for at least your last month, then there is that much less severance to pay as well, as they typically calculate severance as an average of the last three months of the contract. |

this is the hogwon at Sogang, "Foreign Education Language Center", not the university department or general english program there. big difference |

(Not sure how many years ago this happened ... ) When it came time for Sogang's uni-gwon to give all of their teachers raises, they told them that they would have to let them all go, because the uni-gwon was closing. All the teachers lost their jobs. Then the uni-gwon, rather than closing, hired an all-new staff, at entry-level salaries. |
