Would anybody help me out on this one? I'm spending 13 days in Phuket in late January, and I want to eat nothing but kimchi jigae and rice every day for lunch and bibimpab every day for dinner because it's delicious; where are the high end friendly Korean restaurants in Phuket?

That would be aweful, but you could pull it off. I got a feeling, you're not serious. If you read Korean, then that info is out there on Naver or travel forums. I've seen Koreans check in huge boxes at airline counters everytime I traveled on flights with Koreans, because they're packing Korean food to eat abroad. While ramon or ramyeon and gimchee can be found in most countries, they prefer Korean made so they often bring it. They go in groups and do meals in groups, usually privately like they do in Korea. There are some Korean restaurants in Thailand as I noticed them, but Koreans also rent higher end resorts where they can have outdoor BBQ, samgyeopsal, or other meals using what they brought and some local things familiar to them.

Even on Soi Rambuttri in Bangkok in the backpacker area near KSR, there is Dong Dae Moon restaurant. I remember seeing Korean restaurants in Phuket, Bangkok, and Pattaya.

Yup!... there's one fronting Patong Beach (towards the south end).... big sign - AUTHENTIC KOREAN BBQ RESTAURANT.

I was absolutely extatic to discover it and ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there every day for a week. Delicious! My worries about having no choice but to eat horrible Thai food were unfounded.

I am going to be in the Phillipines for a month is there any Korean schools there where I can teach free classes in exchange for awesome korean food.

I was also thinking it would be good to find Korean bus drivers there just in case I miss public buses where the driver hits the breaks so hard that everyone gets tossed around.

For sure! When I travel this winter, I'll remember to bring my big, black fashionable sunvisor. I'd hate to stick out in the crowd!

Oh boy! I'll be able to get some of that muddy looking soup served at room temperature. Now I can really look forward to winter break!

There's a Thai meat dish that bears some simularities to Korean BBQ.
I had it on Kho Sarn road. It's thinly sliced marinaded peices of beef.
You actually cook it over candles. It's similar to Kalbi but less sugar.

The Sushi places in Thailand are pretty good. Although I would honestly give the outdoor sushi a miss

Ok so what about the opposite , does anybody know where all the thai restaurants are? It seems there are more in a town in Florida with about 30,000 residents, then in Incheon which is clocking about 3.5 million.

I will be in the Phillipines for a month and I was thinking what happens if I run out of smokes. Will I be able to buy any of those really skinny Korean smokes with their great weak taste.

I'm going to Malaysia on Sunday and will be spending a few days in Kuala Lumpur. I heard there is a Chinatown there. Will I be able to buy 짜짱면 and 짬퐁?

There are about 40 Korean restaurants in Saigon if you ever go there. They are all real Korean food with Korean workers. My Vietnamese friend did not like the dolsotbibimbap though. I think she's stupid.
