I'm working at a hagwon and am considering staying for another year. If I sign a new contract, does that mean I go back into a 6-month trial period where I can be fired without 30 days warning or severence, as I understand is the case on first contracts? Does the fact that I will have consecutive contracts mean I am considered past the 6-month trial period? |

Why are you asking us? We don't have a copy of your contract.
Read your present contract, read the 'new' contract... change as necessary.
You might also want to read the Korean Labor Standards Act. |

Yes. There's an English language version. OP, you should read it because as soon as you are a legal teacher, you are protected under labor law- no "6 month wait." Don't believe everything you read on this site- many are hagwon owners or useful idiots trying to muddy the waters and confuse people about their legal rights. |
