I am here and happy in Korea, and now I want to learn the language.

I purchased six Korean movies on DVD from Borders in the US before I flew over, but now realize they don't have Korean subtitles (only English Sad). I need the subtitles in Hangul because the native speech rate is too fast for me to pick everything (anything?) up just by listening.

I was wondering if some of the members more experienced with searching for things on Korean sites could help me find Korean subtitle files for the following movies:

Tae Guk Gi
3-Iron
JSA
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance
Oldboy
Sympathy for Lady Vengeance

Thanks in advance!

You can find subtitles at the GomTV:
http://gom.gomtv.com/jmdb/index.html

Or Cineast (which I find more reliable, as do other people I've spoken with).

I did a search for Oldboy, it turned up a few results:

http://cineast.kr/bbs/board.php?bo_table=psd_caption&mv_no=&sca=&sfl=wr_subject%7C%7Cwr_subject&stx=oldboy&sop=and&x=0&y=0

From there you can search for your other movies. However, I have come across some subtitles files that only have English for some reason, some that have Korean, or some that have both. You may need to try downloading a few for the same movie before you find a good one. Once you have the movie on your computer, just put it in the same folder with the subtitle file and it should play just fine (though Windows Media Player is kind of weird with Hangul, maybe download Gom player).

Also, you may notice some of the results on Cineast are for movies split on 2 or 3 cd's, and therefore include multiple subtitle files. You can easily mash these into one file with a program called Subtitle workshop (it's free and super easy to use). You will also need it to remedy any sync issues.

This site has a bunch of stuff as well.

Can anyone help me find subtitles files (Korean) for "High Kick"(하이킥). That show is pretty funny.

The first person to find it will win an amazing prize.

If possible, I highly recommend dual subtitles in Korean and English.
