ubiquitous.. YES.
but STILL not nearly as numerous as the "how do you know this guy is right for you" article..
which I see on yahoo for e.g. (where this article was taken from) EVERY SINGLE DAY.

The most important thing to remember:
No food at home! Dont give you any chance to get access to Snacks ( Stop buying~! )
If you think it too cruel to yourself, look at yourself in the mirror, if you look good, keep on eating.
If not, give all your snacks away and eat out ( dont cook at home).
Edit: ONLY applicable to single ppl |

I don't notice too many of the relationship-advice-fer-chicks ads, but I sure do see a lot of those weight-loss-fer-women ads, even on some online chess sites.
"Becky Weight Loss" (http://www.beckysweightloss.com) is a recurring one.
WTF? do chicks even play chess??
But the most inescapable and most utterly irrelevant (to me) ads of all time have to be the "REFINANCE NOW! RATES HAVE NEVER BEEN LOWER!" ones. Good God Almighty, they were unrelenting. ('were' because they're not as ubiquitous now as there were up until a month or two ago ) It really contributed to my impression that, while of course there's agribusiness and bleeding-edge industrial-purpose high-tech, to the man in the street or on the Net, the American economy basically consisted of people selling each other over-priced houses. |

| Define "small meal". This could be quite different for many people. A north American small meal would probably be a large one for many Asians. |

I started running steps. I live on a sixth floor. Right now, I'm just running down them in the morning. Soon, I'll add running up them. Hopefully, in a couple months I'll be able to jog up to the 15th floor.
Where do you find whole grains/nuts/legumes/beans? I should definitely start adding these to my diet.
I'm in the habit of skipping breakfast. But I guess if I had some prepared brocolli in the fridge and a banana I could find time to eat in the morning. Maybe throw in a handful of nuts and a glass of juice . |

Thanks for sharing.
I'm quite healthy and know most of this stuff, but it's always good to read some reminders, that helps me keep on track! |

Skiping breakfast is the worse thing. If your gone eat lots of calories you do it in the morning. |

An active person COULD need around 40 grams of fiber a day:
1. 1 can green peas = 10 grams fiber
2. 500 grams strawberries = 10 grams fiber
3. 400 grams sweet potatos = 13 grams fiber
4. 1 cup oatmeal = 8 grams fiber
Oatmeal rocks, and it's available at many of the crappy little bucheon, bupyeong foreign food marts in the 시장s.
Jump rope = awesome workout and can be highly creative.

Temporary,
I am overweight; probably from drinking too much bar and not exercising enough. I tend to sit at work and then go home and sit at the computer either surfing the net or watching a downloaded movie. But I'm working on changing that.
I was able to jog up 4 flights of stairs yesterday and walk up the last 2 flights. I'll try to get up five flights today. The biggest hurdle was breaking the habit of using the elevator and actually trying to jog up the steps.
I found a friend at school thats interested in working out so we bought a pair of Thai pads off the internet last week. Today was our second workout. My legs are definitely feeling the workouts.
Icnelly,
Thanks for the tip about the sweet potatoes. How many potatoes equal 400 grams? |

I honestly think in terms of burning fat the power clean is the excersise you want. It's hard to learn and is a pain in the ass. The second excersise would be chin ups (and you know these are hard). But if you can power clean you will OWN fat on your body. Front squats with the power clean also are great, you are sucking air when you do them.
Power clean:

keep the bar close to yourself. Jump and stamp. I honestly can say I can't eat enough to gain weight after doing power cleans, front squats, and dips. So I just don't get the "I can't lose weight thing". I can't gain weight. |

Emart sells bags of small/medium sized sweet potatoes for a couple thousand won. One type is 호박 (Ho bak), but am unsure of the other. Try both: they're good! Each bag weighs 700 or 800 grams, so half a bag of sweet potatoes...I'm looking forward to dinner as I write.
Check this boy out. He's got some skills with the rope. |

I find it hard to stay motivated to keep going to the gym. So I've taken up home exercise DVDs and I love them. I do one or two everyday now, it's so easy to fit into my schedule because I don't have to allow for traveling to the gym.
I've always heard pilates is good for you, and now I know why. It doesn't look like much, but if you get into it it's pretty challenging!
Plus, since you're doing it at home you don't have to worry about what you look like or keeping up with all the movements. |
