Really it does. And it's not my doing. It's like B.O. and probably from the bed left by the last teacher. I haven't slept on it yet and probably never will. I guess the school will have to get me a new mattress because I ain't buying one.
And the teacher who left the apartment for me is a user on Daves. I know who it is.
Thanks for the mess and smell you left me. I am forever in you debt. |

| I suggest you go to Emart/Homeplus and pick up cleaning supplies and to Costco for a gallon of Febreze and antibacterial wipes. I`m surprised they didnt have a cleaning ajumma come in and make it presentable. Happy cleaning... |

You'll have to wash every surface including the walls. Leave the windows open when you are away. Cook often and brew a lot of coffee when you are home. Purchase a dozen house plants and a few flourescent lights. It should be fine in about a month from now.
I've never moved into a hagwon apartment that required less than 20 hours of cleaning before it was acceptable.
Good luck |

Sounds like this turd that I had to live with for a month. He knew he was only going to be there a month, but he HAD to take the bigger room that he knew I would move into after he was gone. OMFG the smell - the guy REFUSED to use deodorant. I had to air the room out for days before I could move in - luckily I already had a non-smelly bed.
Is the guy you know totally clueless socially? That was the guy I had to endure...he never got the hints everyone gave him about using something to make him smell more presentable. |

Having a cleaning ajuma come in and clean before any new teacher moves in should be standard policy. It is also reasonable to expect to have the utilities on, apartment furnished, new keys and a new phone number (so you don't get unwanted calls and old bills). This is all standard where I work. |

I've seen people leave apartments so filthy they would be classed as biohazard zones back home. In my experience, nationality makes no difference.
After the 'offenders' moved out, the Ks would run around saying "Oh my God.... animal house, animal house!" |

| My school is making me hire a cleaning lady to come by 2 times a month because of the mess the last person left. I tried to fight as it was not my fault but they refused. The crazy part is that the person who lived here before me was a Korean teacher that works for the school. Yet they blame the foreigner, figures. |

| Do they pay for the cleaner? If not, I suggest you put your foot down as you are getting screwed big time. |
