What can I do to get my mind off some crap in my life right now? Not involving alcohol, obviously.
For example, today I finish at 2:30 and have nothing to do afterward. Spending another day staring at my apartment walls isn't going to help matters.
I also have a broken hand, so it can't be too physical. Any ideas? |

Girl trouble?
Things to do: Go to the movies, have a good dinner at your favorite restaurant, read a book, take a walk, talk to a friend, go make friends, go shopping, site seeing, climb a mountain, eat kimchi, etc.... |

Girl trouble, money trouble, family trouble... the only thing good is my job, but my kids are graduating soon so I'm gonna be sad about that too.
Thanks for the tips. Keep them coming. |

Go for a good walk or the gym and use the equipment not involving your hand. Find a new hobby or research a great author. If you don't know the Korean language, start teaching yourself or sign up for classes. |

if you've got the money, this is a good one...
otherwise, i'd say just get out and meet people somehow. have a beer (or dinner, if you don't want to drink) with some buddies, take part in a language exchange/class, join a club, or go out on a date. |

Go to a Jimjilbang you've never been to. It'll jar you out of your routine and you'll feel great. This is especially good now that it's so bitter outside. |

I find working is the best cure.
IF you've seen some of my phsycho threads in the past, I'm dealing with serious emotional and personal issues... I hear ya buddy. Girl trouble.
Anyways, Only when I'm working do I feel completely free, I never think about my problems and somehow, if they ever enter my mind, they would not strike any emotional pangs. If you can, maybe you can get some privates? Sounds like you can work them legally if you're married here. (I'm guessing)
Plus the money, God counting this wad really keeps my mind off of everything bad.... Jesus the piles and piles. |

If you are in Apugujeong I suggest:
Go see a movie, they have a ton of theaters there.
Go to Hooters and have a beer and some wings.
Go walk around where all the hot chicks go shopping...sit in a coffee shop with a window view and just hang looking at the hotties.
Look for some part time work in the millions of hawgwons they got there. 2:30 is a pretty early day.
I can also suggest you might want to read books, rent movies, buy a video game system or play a MMORPG if that's your thing.
Another suggestion for outside your neighbourhood is list 10 places in Seoul you have never been - then go visit those places. |

Go to an animal shelter and help out for the day. Pet therapy, and they need the love.
Somehow do yoga.
Buy a great new book. Read it in the cosiest, moodiest lit, most cushion infested coffee shop you can find. Preferably with blankets.
Get a massage, and fall into a nap afterwards. Better yet, get a HEAD massage
Meet friends, and play something stupid like monopoly or pictionary
Write.
Go for a hike. But bundle up. |

Basically I've grown sick of her horse shit and have brushed her off. For our 2 month 'anniversary' I brought her flowers and chocolate, and she decided to be in bitch mode, so I just walked away. I'm so sick of this shit and I should have listened to you guys in the first place.
It just hurts to have feelings for someone who only shows affection when she sees fit. I also have no friends. |

i understand what you mean all too well...as i'm sure many other posters who've dated a certain type of (korean) girl do. i'd say just try to get back into really living your own life as quickly as possible. make some friends, meet some new girls (if you feel like it), and improve yourself as a person somehow, whether it be through a hobby, sport, language study, or whatever.
