Most topics i have questions on have been covered here, but I was wondering two things:

1) Do Koreans play tennis? I like to play and am wondering if i should bring my racket

2) Will being out of the U.S. for a year, or more, destroy my credit in the U.S.?

1) Of course. Bring your racket. There will be a tennis club you can spit and hit from your house. They can get quite competitive, so make sure to join "friendly" games.

2) Of course not. Why would it?

i just thought that when u do nothing financially for a year, no credit activity equals a decrease in the credit score....or not?

I haven't had any credit activity for a lot longer than I've been in Korea. The longest and largest loan I ever has was a car loan that I paid off in 4 months because I got pissed off.

(I went into the bank branch and asked to see the branch manager, and told them that their level of junk mail was unacceptable to me, please to be taking care of it, and she gave me a number to call, so I said "Close this account into that one and give me the balance in a check." "Why?" "Because you didn't do what I asked you to do. That means you go away now.")

straphanger is playing with you - I've never seen a tennis court here - badminton, yes, but tennis, no. that's not to say they aren't here - but not many - and probably indoors ones that are.

Are you in Seoul? Have you ever driven along or been down by the river? I've seen courts here all over the place. Whether they are public or private, I don't know, but they are there.

Horseshit. Our B team just won last season's finals, and our A-team came in second. If this is a POIDH situation, I'd be more than happy to shoot one at the court for you with today's KH.

Many of the Koreans I know play Tennis. I do an English Zone at night at the College near me, and it is housed in the same building as the tennis court. There is always a steady stream of people coming and going with their rackets. They are still coming and going at 9:00 pm when I go home.

SOme schools in Seoul have dirt courts in the playground. The nicer, newer ones have asphalt or a rubber surface. Hangang park has some in various locations.

Yep, there's Winter tennis being played each night at the tennis courts. You got tennis year round, but not sure of knockers or available opponents. I go to the warm high tech gym to get my fitness on.

wtf is POIDH???

and as I said, I just haven't seen them - have been all over Seoul - lots of badminton courts tho - along the river
