With the skies so clear these days, this is one of the best seasons to take outdoor photos. As long as you have a camera already it's not expensive at all.

If you really are too cold, and you think it's too lame to wear warm clothes, I'd recommend visiting some of the indoor malls like Lotte World.

Yes, skies are clear, but everything that can be green has perished to the weather, so it's a very bland landscape this time of year.

Oh, it's so brown, dry, and dead as an ancestor where it's natural, but you can still do indoor things like drink beer. I want to go try that Rosenbrau microbrew in Ilsan, very close to Seoul, as a cold weather retreat. And just say, "Gutan Tag, Ich muste sects hefe beer bitte," to the German brewer guy. I just ordered a six pack of the best clean wheat beer around......Yee haaa! This weekend.

You can get bundled up and go places or you can do indoor things, but it's a terrible time to get photogenic palace pictures and most outdoor pictures as everything, but people, are so dead being so freezing cold. No leaves, no grass, no insects, no nothing, but people and artificial technology...

Does Seoul have a climatron? That's a huge glass and aluminum Bucky ball looking bubble with a tropical rain forest inside. A microcosm of life. We have that in St. Louis where I'm from. I love it.

Only good thing to take pictures of outside at this time of year would be buildings, night time city views, etc.

Download free audio book torrents, put them on your ipod, hop on a bus and ride away.

Go to a po-jang-ma-cha with some Korean friends.

Discover a new television series or movie and watch it for free on the internet.

Drink a two bottles of soju and brave a bicycle ride on the Hangang river.

P.S. They are a heap of fun, the more makkoli and soju you drink , the better better yr Korean gets- Really!

Nah, there is always something to shoot. Not all good pictures have to be sunny and green landscapes. With the winter, you're forced to be more creative with your photography...unless you really do just want to take happy pictures of trees and flowers.

it's a city

concrete and glass against sky

take advantage of the plumes of cold air exhaust and blue skies to take artistic perspectives of the urban landscape

or take a trip to the seashore

It's the Korean word for a soju tent. You've probably seen them around, it's a tent with heaters inside, they're usually orange, and they serve anju and Korean booze. It's a fun way to get your snack and your drink on for cheap, Korean style.
