An English-speaking Korean friend of mine is looking to expand his hagwon and offer English classes, so he'll be hiring foreigners for the first time (legally, that is). Anyone know where he can find the step-by-step process to hire a foreigner? What forms or documents he must submit, etc? Thanks in advance, I think he's getting in over his head, but only time will tell. His pre-school is absolutely spraying cash at him, but he's trying to take this leap into uncharted waters...

Tell him the rocks and ice are very bad things to rub his hull against.

And even they won't know ..

It's pretty straight.

GET ALL necessary docs in order on the employee side, bring a copy of your business certificate, go to Immi and do the request

10 days and you will get a number you give to your future employee, or not.

The hardest part is getting all the docs in order.

I've done this process and the easiest is to go to Immi and tell them who you are and what you want. They'll hand you all the papers.
Call ahead to the health center to make sure they do all the required tests. We took our teacher to one told them we need "the tests for foreign teaches" and asked if they did it. Sure they did! Then we found out that they didn't do the drug or HIV tests. Confused Second time around we got it right.
