Does anyone know where I could buy a potter's wheel or take pottery classes in Daejeon? I was taking lessons for a couple months from a lady in tanbang-dong, but she wouldn't teach me the wheel, only hand building.

I think I could learn it using the internet as a teacher if I could find a wheel for sale. We'll be here for several years, so I don't mind the investment.

There's an artist colony up on the mountain west of town. It's even called Pottery Village. Ask around about it. Someone will be able to tell you how to get there.

There is a cultural center next to Expo (towards the river). its a pyramid looking building. they have pottery classes-and the pics suggest they have wheel throwing.

I used to teach adult classes at FSU-if you get your wheel and need some starters PM me.

Cheers

Excellent! I thought that building was abandoned; this is much better! I'll check it out today. I pass that building at least once week.

Thanks for the info.
