I have a previous generation (non-aluminum) iMac for trade. Its stats are:

- 24 in. LCD screen
- 2.16 GHz Core2Duo
- 3 Gigs of Ram (Upgraded from retail 1 Gig)
- 250 Gigs of hard drive space
- DVD-RW Drive

A similarly specced iMac is available on eBay for around 1,000 US dollars. Mine is in generally excellent shape, although there is a minor problem with the drive; it's fully functional, but requires some... compromise to get it fully working.

It's also under AppleCare until September 2009, which can be used to replace the drive if desired.

I'm letting this go because the screen is too large for my taste, and I'd like to lighten the cargo load when going back home. I'm hoping to trade this for a laptop, preferably a 15 in. Macbook Pro, but I'm open to other possibilities as well.

If interested, feel free to PM, post here, call (010-7791-7566), or e-mail at [email protected]. I'm also located in Bundang. Thanks for reading.

do you have an asking price for this? I might be interested in scraping up the cash for it. Also, it might be useful for you to take it in for service before selling, instead of leaving the onus on the buyer to do so. Just a suggestion!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm too lazy to. Razz There's no onus on the buyer; as it works perfectly fine, as long as the CD/DVD is inserted correctly.

Asking price will be W1,200,000.

I think that price is a bit high. That's the older model with the chipset which can't accept RAM higher than 3 gigs right? So you wouldn't be able to upgrade it.

Anyways I saw the same model on Ebay for 700 USD (973,797.12 KRW) and which didn't have any defective drive. The other difference is that the one listed on Ebay has a faster processor, and 1 gig less of RAM (but RAM is cheap, and the computer in the link has a higher RAM limit)

Link is here:

That was 5 hours before the bid was over. Would you be willing to
lower the price?

The problem with setting prices based on eBay auctions is that prices fluctuate from auction to auction. So I can use it as a general guideline, but I won't base the price based on just one. That said, I have seen a bunch of other auctions for the same item here: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38.l1313&_nkw=24+2.16+imac&_sacat=See-All-Categories. And they're around the $1,000 mark; some higher some lower.

I'm also going back to the states in a couple of weeks, so I'll be affected by the exchange rate more, although I wouldn't mind so much if I stayed for another year. I'll lower the asking price to W1,000,000.

I've got a Powerbook G4 (the very last generation before the MacBook Pros came out) in perfect working order and excellent aesthetic quality. 15.4" LCD, can't remember the rest of the specs (I did buy it in 2005), but it's a great little laptop.

If you really want a laptop, I'll trade.

When are you leaving? I need to get a new computer here bad as my iBook G4 can't handle Logic Pro too efficiently =P

I am willing to buy, but curious when you're leaving. Still for sale?
