|
|
My recruiter is just after emailing to tell me that I have to submit a LOR from the public school I am currently working at before I change to a new school, despite the fact that I will have fully completed my current contract by the date I am to change schools. She also wrote that if I don't produce a LOR then I must reapply for a new visa from my home country.
Will somebody please explain why is a LOR even necessary at this point? |

| Your recruiter is an idiot - find a new one. |

I've just taken another look at the GEPIK application form that I was given and I noticed the following:
| Quote: |
| For Category 1+/ 1/ 2+/2 /4 / 5 applicants, this Letter of Recommendation(s) from full-time teaching employment( in Korea ,if applicable) must be submitted. |
Could this be what she was looking for and will a letter of release from each of my previous employers be enough to satisfy GEPIK in that case? |

Perhaps confusion stems from the use of the acronym 'LOR'.
Is the recruiter using "LOR" to mean 'Letter of Release' or 'Letter of Recommendation'?
The usual meaning of LOR is 'Letter of Release'.
You do not need a Letter of Release (because you will complete your current contract).
You will need a Letter(s) of Recommendation. |

Will I also need one from the hagwan I worked at even though I only worked there for 5 months? |

Based on your quote of the GEPIK application form, I will answer "Yes". |

What if I can't get a letter of recommendation from the hagwan I worked for? |
