Number one on my list has got to be this site. It hasn't been upgraded in Duck** knows when! We used to be able to link pics directly on here but I guess it would cost too much so we all have to copy and paste the urls.
Could hang out on expat korea but; it's like there are only 5 posters posting the same crap all the time.

Number two is there is still no 24 hr diner for us expats like Denny's. Although if you're from the Middle East you can get chicken on
a pita into all hours of the night on nearly every corner in Itaewon; in Haebonchon it's 24 hrs!

Fully agree with number 1. Expats conversations are slower than here, but ultimately more satisfying. I hate having to check so many sub-forums though.

And I recall seeing Denny's in Japan, and being advised that it was the biggest insult to breakfast food of all time.

Korean English teachers that hate anyone who is a native speaker of English, White westerner males that came here only to meet a Korean girl, and crooked hagwon owners.

Besides that the country has a lot of potential.

I mean seriously, why are you teaching English if you dont like native English speakers? That doesnt even make sense. Talk about hating your job.

the emotional immaturity of the vast majority of korean's. Stamping their feet like spolit children. Their general xenophobia and rabidly nationalistic outlook based on little or no experience outside of korea, well apart from the 5 day bus tours to neighbouring countries. The way they generally look down on english teachers and yet pigeon hole us into english teaching the moment we arrive off the plane. The concept of "losing face" that stops most from telling the truth when the truth is obvious. The cheating and hypocracyof it all.
As a matter of fact, the best thing in korea is probably Incheon airport Smile
I think maybe its time I packed up and left..

People chewing with their mouth open and smacking their lips.
People chewing with their mouth open and smacking their lips.
The smell of people on the train.
That word or sound girls make when things don't go their way.
The black "uniforms" people wear when they go hiking.
People that run in the subway station to catch the train. There will be another one if a few minutes.
Korean commercials.
Wonder Girls/JYP/Jewelry/Pretty Girls/Rain and all of the "rappers" with initials for names.
Korean hip-hop....it's a New York thing...
The hairstyles.
Fake glasses.
People that hang out in Starbucks because they think it's cool.
People that think they are good teachers.
White GI's who talk and dress like Lil Wayne.
Hooters in Korea.

Please note that I could make the same list for the USA, Canada, Japan, Guam or wherever. It doesn't really mean anything. And yes, I know where the airport is and I know that I can leave. I don't care if anyone has a problem with my list. Go be a good teacher and hang out in Itaewon or whatever you do. It's all good.

The Geeks, Rux, Couch, Cockcrasher, Guk-Do, Vasline, Suck Stuff, Cpt. Bootbois, Burning Hepburn, Egg Scramble, Screw Attack, BB Luckytown, Lazyboy, Samchung, Galaxy Express, Patients, Propeller, Same Old Story, Benzene, 49 Morphines....etc...etc.

Actually I think more people should support the local music scene. Just what I want to do is go to Korea and see a cover band.

edited for forgetting about the Ruckus Army.

I agree with everything except for the subway one. Most lines have trains that come every few minutes, but line 1 sucks incredibly. I have waited for a train for 45 minutes on more than one occasion. It's really annoying too when you live a few stops past Guro, but can't get on the first 5 trains because they're heading to Incheon.
