You've got to be kidding me! Taiwan beer is a vile and nasty liquid.Try it and you'll indeed be hopping to the can every few minutes. It's very chemically and is cheap for a reason;it sucks! |

Yeah, Taiwan Beer is gross. When I lived there, I tried to drink anything but that. There was some weird Chinese beer there, too. Maybe worse than Tai-P (Taiwan Pijiou), but I only saw it a couple of times at one bar where a beer girl was there to promote it.
I drank mostly Tsingdao in Taiwan. |

Hey, I never said it rocks!, only said its waaay better than the local stuff.
The bar is very low, so it doesn't take much to be higher. |

I am with you there. I find myself torn between my desire to drink good beer and my desire to get loaded without taking out an additional mortgage on my home. ANY kind of new cheap beer has to be at least as good as the local stuff so I will definitely give it a try. |

I had Kilkenny Thursday. Paid through the nose for it, but it was so good.

...went to homeplus the other night and saw big bottles of erdinger there... they have regular and dunkel.... they are bigger than a normal sized beer (maybe one-and-a-half times bigger) but they cost around $5 per bottle (which still isn't that bad compared to what you would pay at a bar)....
moosehead is still my fav though.... i'm actually quite pleased with homeplus' beer selection.... |

Yup. Pretty bad stuff. Like I said, I drank Tsingdao in Taiwan. I did, however, drink Taiwan Gold beer when there wasn't Tsingdao in the 7-11. It was ok. Other times, I drank Becks. But... Tsingdao is easy to get used to. It's not really a Chinese beer, it's German. A German showed them how to make it. Better than Heineken, anyway. Not that Heineken is German, but you know what I mean. |

Yeah,I know what you mean.On Taiwan I used to drink Tsingtsao,Budweiser,Busch, various Japanese beers(quite good as I remember),Michelob,Blue Ice,Corona and a few others which I can't remember right now.Taiwan beer was shunned at all costs. |
