I go to HK frequently. I am born a Honker and have family living there.

I haven't, however, found it difficult to communicate in English. Almost everyone I come in contact with speak a decent amount and I definitely don't have problem going around the shops and asking for what I want in English - when my Cantonese fails me...mwahah..

My sister, who has relocated back to HK, told me my Cantonese sucks so much it's easier to just talk in English. Embarassed
