Aw, gee and I thought they would like him because he's a mooslim:
Quote: |
Bearack Mohammed Hussein "Fear Bomb"[1] Obama is the 44th President of the United States of America (but Prof. McDoc still doesn't acknowledge him as president of anything) and an Arabic-speaking secret black mooslim.[2] Barack Hussein Obama's agenda, as a Secret Mooslim Al Qaeda double agent, has four steps that he's outlined in secret:
1. pose as a Democratic politician for 12 years
2. take over America's political establishment as the Decider
3. add a secret tax on 50 percent of all small business owners
4. enslave the small-business owning christian white race
People say his mother is an atheist, but she is actually a Muslim posing as an atheist. In short, Barack is half-black, but all Jesus-hater. His Dad is supposedly from Africa (as if the place even existed), and Obama hasn't lived the typical experiences of an African-American. Fine, so he's half-African-African-American. Or so they tell us. We don't see race. |

Dozens of Iranians? What a surprise. I bet I could find a few dozen Iranians to protest just about anything.
Here's another protest with dozens of people:
Quote: |
While the GLAAD-organized protest of Eminem held outside the Staples Center drew only a few dozen protesters, those who were there might have taken solace in the fact that despite the high-profile set, the rapper was denied the most prestigious award of the evening. |
But to get serious for a moment, we're going to have to wait for some real data before we can tell what sort of effect Obama's presidency is going to have on the world. Until then we could go on forever with an article here about an anti-Obama protest and another one there about some group in the Middle East that just loves the US now that Obama's been elected. My guess is that both sides are going to be disappointed. Obama doesn't have an obamawand to remove anti-Americanism and it'll still be in a lot of areas but there will definitely be a change in places with less of a history of it (or more based on rivalry than animosity) like Europe. |

Iranians burned posters of Carter, Reagan, Bush I, Clinton and Bush II. Nothing new here. And Iran is hardly the country you should be looking at when assessing changing trends in world opinion of American policy. |

I always find it amusing when listening to Iran. The theoligians don't just hate america, they hate the ideas they propose.
My country holds the same ideas of freedom and if not for america, you would read my countries name in the media, so TGFA, as it reduces the flack we catch.
Personally and I speak for myself, a slave should not think a free man cares what a slave thinks of freedom unless its the same dream to be free.
We are free, free to breathe if nothing else. I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees (as the saying goes).

Okay, we waited a while and now have some real data. US image is up in nearly every part of the world to pre-2001 levels. Pity the "the world is against the US no matter what" schtick doesn't seem to have worked out. |

I was in Gwangju's Democracy Square last weekend, and the protest booths had pictures of Lee Myung Bak shaking hands with BUSH. And I didn't see any pictures of him with Obama.
Granted, the issue on that particular sign might have been related to Bush specifically(I can't read Korean). Still, it must say something that the anti-American protestors realize that waving around pictures of Barry O is a non-starter, and are instead trying to milk the last few drops from the teat of anti-Bush rage. |

The Ayatollah could become the president of the US and they would burn his picture too just because he's president of the US |

Where is the real data? , a few more people worldwide personally like Obama than Bush and that number will go down over time since this is the honeymoon . Come back in 24 months.

In a speech on Monday before the Association France-Ameriques, a group promoting friendship between France and the Americas, Mr. Vedrine said that in other times, great dynasties were almost always counterbalanced by other powers.
"Today, that's not the case, and therefore there is this question at the center of the world's current problems," he said.
The remarks were in line with recent attempts by President Jacques Chirac, Prime Minister Lionel Jospin and Mr. Vedrine to draw attention to what France now calls American unilateralism, and to attract other countries to the idea of counteracting it through French-led multilateral initiatives. |
All cause of Bush - right?
and let's add that you don't see nations around the world out there helping the US now that Obama is president , nor do you see Russia or China changing their votes at the UN.
Moreover just because Obama isn' t as hated as Bush does not change the fact that the US has been resented world wide since the end of the cold war. The US was hated and resented before Bush was president.
