I just did it this morning.

I first made a reservation because I didn't have much time before I had to get to work. But if you have time, you can just go to the immigration office for your area (ask boss if you're not sure) and wait in line.

You can make an appointment here: http://www.hikorea.go.kr/pt/index.html

Sign up first with your alien registration number. Then go to RESERVE VISIT at the top of the page. It's really straightforward. It will show you a list of open times. Each appointment is 10 minutes.

Go to immigration at the appointment time, give them the filled out application form, your passport, alien registration card, and 30,000 won (single re-entry) or 50,000 won (mulitple re-entry). It takes less than 5 minutes. They just put a stamp in your passport.

You can get it done at the airport too, so I've heard.

You need to get your multi re-entry either at your LOCAL immigration office or on-line (if you have the means to pay on-line).

It takes about 15 minutes after you reach the counter. You will need your passport, ARC, 50k won and an application.

You can get a single use entry permit at the airport on your way out.
Again you need your ARC, passport, application and 30k won.

My advice - I've done it thrice. Be a sport! Go to the Airport.

Costs 30,000 Won, they close at dusk and open at dawn.

Don't quit. You get it in a minute.
