dunno where you're at...in the countryside?
i'd say us westerners in general smell more and have more of a need for deoderant than koreans.
most koreans i've met are super-anal about their hygeine.

You dont need deodrant or soap...Koreans only take a shower once every two weeks and they consider natural body odour just that ...

I've only been here two weeks and I can tell you one thing. It doesn't matter what people tell you now, you won't know what they're talking about until you get here. I was told that Korea is such a great place, that you'll meet tons of wonderful people, blah, blah, blah, but my first week here was hell on earth. I hated it here. But, get to know your other foreign teachers. They have been one of my key resources in getting to know my way around. Give it a chance. After my third day here, I was getting my friends and family to try to raise money for me to go home. But the last week has gone by really quickly and so disregard everything you hear here (except of course what to pack) and see for yourself. |

Where do you buy your socks?? On the street or in E-mart they are really reasonable and last for 3 or 4 years or more for me. |

I don't understand why many people have so much trouble buying towels in Korea. Maybe "Western" towels were not available many years ago, but it's just not true anymore. I buy mine at a big department store, like Hyundae or Shinsegae. They are a little on the pricey side, but by far the nicest towels I've ever owned. You can get big fluffy towels at the discount department stores like E-Mart of Big Mart, too. |
