Looking for a place to meet other musically-minded folks and jam? Try the Woodstock, near Yatap station. Mr. Lee is a pretty good guy, and he's got a small stage set up in there with a guitar, bass, several amps, a drum kit - and a fairly decent selection of LP's to listen to when nobody's playing. He has something of a "house band" that plays on weeknights, but he seems pretty open to having people join in, as I've done a few times already (my own limited musical abilities notwithstanding...)

He was pretty positive when I suggested having people "drop in" on Thursday or maybe Sunday nights, but for now nothing really regular has been organized, which is the point of this post. The scene is there and waiting if you want to make it happen - why should we have to go all the way into Seoul to find a place to play?

To get there: Take exit 1 or 2 from Yatap station, across the main road from Carrefour. You should see a building ("Kwan Bo Golden Shopping", maybe 6 stories or so) with a large sign saying "Blue Moon" at the top. Walk up the hill on the left side of the building as you're facing it, and in about two minutes or so you'll see the sign for Woodstock on the right. Check it out!

I think it would be hard to whip up a band to play there. I've played there with a few friends. Mind you none of us have played anything ever -- we were just hammered and guitars were plugged in.

If Mr. Lee wants a crowd what are the chances of him getting a pool table? There are no bars in Bundang to shoot pool. Let's get one.

Been there and played with Mr. Lee. It's a fine place to jam. Unfortunately, I'm no longer in Bundang, but I highly recommend it since Ju's Live Club was sold and made into an expensive Karaoke joint. Keep us posted on what you're able to put together and maybe I'll try and come down and join you all sometime.

I went to the Woodstock last night. Good fun.

A few people played some funky tunes and a few pitchers were downed!!

I think if you're into playing live this is your best venue in Bundang, or even Seoul for that matter.

Kiwiboy, if you bring some reggae into our lives you will be revered and told of in song... there's a small group of us so far who have started going on Thursdays and Sundays, and we're all willing to try something new. Hope to see you there soon~!
