I checked youtube and there were a few videos but the movements seemed a little iffy.

Apparently, all you need is:

A wiimote (not sure about the IR bar...some say to use it some say there is no need.
bluetooth dongle for your PC
software: GlovePIE.

Any first-hand experience? How was it? Sounds like fun winter project.

Would definitely be fun to mess around with but the wiimote is not nearly precise enough for the type of games I usually play.
