I have a ridiculous number of students for which I have to write comments. Has anyone streamlined the process of writing these out?

I remember a while back - someone posted a website/program that had generic comments that could be copy and pasted....

Help?

Edit: I meant - REPORT CARDS Smile

Are these comments for report cards or essays? If they're for essays, I usually just write brief ones like "watch your spelling" or "use simple words".

If you're talking about report cards, I usually only put thought into the ones for students with specific problems or those who show a lot of improvement. For the kids who do pretty well, sit in the back and only talk when they are called on, I usually just make up words, use alliteration or make a limerick.

For example: Bob is a prodictorous student who not only empathicates his ideas but sardiforously tries to improve his English.

Sally strengthens her syllables with selective emphasis on her sounds.

Joe is a great student in class.
At this rate, he'll surely surpass
his own expectations and ace conjugation.
He really has been quite a blast.

I have not so fond memories of reporting student's progress on a monthly basis in my old hakwon. It got so f'n redundant. Little Sumin...blah,blah,blah.

OP pm me if you want some files. I have hundreds of saved reports over the years.

I had to do that monthy also when I worked in Busan. PJFLI literally gave me dozens upon dozens of reports to write coments on. I also had to grade the kids abillities. And of course these were always last minute when I was about to leave work. Good Luck! Rolling Eyes
