Japan does not export Kobe beef. Anyone who says differently doesn't know what they're talking about. |

You need to look for "Wagyu", this can be found in most western countries, so I'm assuming you can get it here. My research tells me you need to go to Japan to get true Kobe, as its not exported out of Japan. |

in Kobe go to Hankyu Sannomiya station, and it is nearby. It is called Kobe Steakland. Lunch is about 3,000 yen or a little less. I don't know where you can get it cheaper. |

I read about that rancher, too. I think he said the quality isn't as good as kobe but it might be better than regular prime. |

From my research in the last twenty minutes, in order for it to be true Kobe beef it has to meet certain guidelines for which being raised in the US doesn't meet. Just wikipedia it. |

That would be "American Kobe Beef" not Kobe. Kobe Beef is not available outside of Japan. Please repeat. Kobe Beef is not available outside of Japan. |

Kobe beef comes from a breed of cows that were also exported and bred in Australia. Wagyu is the name of the beef that comes from these cows and the restaurants that serve it in Korea (including Hooters) has the Australian wagyu. Still pretty tasty if you ask me. |

It's been frozen. It's not like Kobe. |
