Bush isn't bright. But I think he managed to repeat his Inaugural pledge. Obama could not repeat correctly six words in a row. Not only did he fail to repeat what he just heard once, every line he tried to repeat was wrong.

Only dumb people have trouble repeating what they just heard.

How dumb is this guy?

Pathetic.

You're a toad. Go away.

Chief Justice Roberts is the one who made the error actually.

I'm firmly convinced that on the internet somewhere there is already a group forming who will at some point bring up the flub and claim Obama isn't really a legitimate president because of it. Rolling Eyes

He did, too...in that Obama made the first mistake not remembering what words he had to say (even though they rehearsed). When Roberts saw that repeating six words stumped Obama, he started to repeat. Roberts only erred in that he felt sorry for Obama being so dumb, and was trying to prod his lines, like a teacher does to a 1st grader in a school play when the kid forgets his lines.

I voted for the guy, but wow, that's a Ricky from Trailer Park Boys moment.

And I only bring this up because I've been watching CNN non-stop, and not a single mention of this obvious "dumbery." I'm excited as the next guy, but this White Guilt Love Fest is quickly going from the eye-rolling level to the "ewww" level.

No. Roberts forgot a word (faithfully), which is why Obama paused. Then Roberts corrected himself, but Obama did not follow the corrected version.

Just clarifying. I guess I should have said they both made a mistake.

Yes, you were right to clarify.

The OP has it ass-backwards. He's started a thread to mock Obama for something which he's not at fault. I guess the OP is not alone.

Things like this never cease to amaze me. So the man flubbed a few words. Bush did it all the damn time. It happens.

After I posted on this thread yesterday and left to go to work I thought for a second about what I had written.

I thought perhaps the OP was trying make a joke and that I just didn't get it at the time. I've now come back and have seen his follow-up.

I think I'll stand by my original post.
