Anyone know how to get access to internet sites that are blocked by the Korean Government? Do I need to hide my ICQ or something?

Go via a proxy site such as hidemyass.com. Google "free web proxy" for others.

My friend told me that certain porn sites are blocked, such as [mod edit]. I haven't checked.

Thanks for the replies. Most North Korean and certain Political websites are blocked by the Govt.

Also at times other sites such as Angelfire will be blocked. When I first came here I had a site hosted on Angelfire, and for no apparent reason it was suddenly blocked for a very long time.

A lot of blocked sites can be unblocked simply by using the English version of the search engine (most engines are put to Korean by default).

I used to be able to access usfk.mil up north, but in Jeju it's verboten for some reason. Was useful for the yellow sand index, and the court martial results were always good for a laugh.
