So I've got a fully grown, nearly 30 year old co-worker who constantly announces in the teachers office the daily status of her bowels and intestines.
Either she's constipated and "Oh, I haven't pooped today"
or she ate something and "Ugh. This pizza is gonna make me yack. Will someone share a slice with me?"
or she ate something different and has diarrhea or feels that she must announce to everyone that "I've got to drink lots of water, so I can poop again"

It's not a rare occurrence. It's nearly every day! And I swear the brat is so conceited and full of herself that she thinks this is perfectly acceptable behavior!

How would you handle this "stinky" situation?

I'll trade you your poop-fetish coworker for my homophobic, alpha-male jock coworker. Today, he proudly showed the director (a woman, not that it matters) how he wrote with a magic marker, "Mr. Kim is gay" on a container of hand lotion, owned by one of the male Korean teachers. "Only women and gay guys use hand lotion." You'd think someone who's about 28 would show a bit more maturity.

You'll just have to be blunt and say, "Could you leave the personal talk for your psychiatrist visits, please?" But don't say it like you're joking. Act serious, as if you really think that she sees one. If not, she probably should.

Tape a picture of a buff male model wearing briefs to his computer screen and write "For a good time, call (co-worker's name)" with a fake phone number all over the men's bathroom stalls' walls.

if she's unavoidable and it's really getting to you - you can always approach her privately and explain in Western culture this talk is considered inappropriate and very rude. if you do it seriously, she'll be so shocked she'll probably never speak of it again - OTOH, she's liable to be so shamed she might do anything - or nothing.

depends on how much it bothers you.

oh, and since you asked - I'd tell her in a heartbeat Laughing

It's one of the strange things that are common here (in my experience) If you like her, go in to namdamun and pick up some metamucil (10,000 won), she won't think it is weird and you won't hear about it again. If you don't like her go mooseheads idea

I can relate. And it got to the point that I had to pull out 2 of my nose hairs and put them on the key board of another coworker's computer. It did not work. The nose hairs, however, are still there. In any case, I just wanted to let you know that putting nose hairs on a third party's computer keys has no effect on such a situation. Shocked

Best idea, you show that you care and at the same time it's like a subtle message to fix it or shut up.

don't put exlax in. put lots of imodium in so she can't poop, put it in every day. do it for a week and then wait for the screams of pain as she gives birth to a litte brown brick.

I did the ex-lax in coffee thing before. Doesn't work. The laxative part floats to the top and taste really disgusting.. The victim will immediately spit it out and think someone tried to poison them. Best not to do that.
