Thanks in advance for the help.. Smile

I just need to verify what I think I've figured out about getting a CBC from within Korea. I guess the K government has stopped accepting online printouts of CBCs, which is the only way my state handles them (I'm American). Can I have a friend go to the local police dept., mail it to me, and then I can take it to the embassy, sign the affidavit, and submit that? Does the CBC need to be notarized in the states? It doesn't sound like it does, but I want to be sure. Basically, it sounds like I can just walk into the embassy with a copy of my CBC and that's it. Am I right?

Thanks again..

The Korean Government might have a problem with you being a Red Mage.

Other than that, call your police department and explain your situation; they might be willing to mail it directly to you.

I would try the FBI. I have done it twice now from Korea and it is pretty easy. Go to the FBI web page and print out the fingerprint form. Get the prints taken at a local police branch in Korea. Then mail them in and have them send it to Korea. I wrote a letter when I mailed my fingerprints and told them I needed my criminal check back rather soon. It only took them a little over three weeks. It was really quick. As you know once you get it then you take it to the U.S. Embassy. Sounds confusing but it's actually really easy. Best of luck.
