I have been offered a hagwon job in Seoul, and he wanted me to send the papers today, but im not 100% on the job. I know that this weekend is the lunar new year holiday and most people are gone til Tuesday if im not mistaken.

So, my question is this: if i waited until next week (27th, 28th, 29th of january) to line up a job and send my papers to start the visa process, would i have no problem getting the visa in time for me to start in Korea at the end of february? Or what is the latest I can wait to secure a job that starts the beginning of March?

A lot of you are probably on vacation for the holiday, but any help would be great, thanks!

why are you not 100% sure on the job? I wouldn`t be signing my life away for a year if I wasn`t 100%. Tons of hagwon jobs out there anyway

well, mostly because I really want to go to Busan, but the schools/recruiters for the busan jobs haven't gotten back to me yet. I'm just worried if I wait I won't have enough time to get the contract and visa in time for a March start.

Figure 3 days for your documents to get to Korea via Fedex or the likes thereof. Then your school takes documents to immigration. Currently, I am processing documents for teachers, and it has been over 10 business days, and still no visa issuance number.

Then you will need to get the visa stamp at the Korean consulate near you. You might have to have an interview, and each consulate is different with their protocol. I suggest you call them and ask them what their time frame is.

So, it could take upwards of 30 days to process a visa.
