Yup, that's code for "Yellow fever". Big time. He's into Korean chicks.

He can be next Jeff McDonald ( I am not sure his name is correct ), the guy who came to korea from Japan where he was a lawyer at American law Firm in Japan. He found a beautiful korean girl, then the rest of his life story is all about korea, he is still living in Korea for more than 30+ years. He was once the head of American Chamber of commerce, right now I think he is partner of well known korean law firm.

Some SNU professors point out the university has been negligent in a screening system to recruit quality professors and only focused on attracting as many foreign professors as possible.

Or, perhaps, attracting ones that will capture headlines due to their age.

Anyone see a trend in this? Konkuk was bragging over the age card, and now SNU?

Nothing against the young ones -- they'll get there some day -- but they don't exactly bring much life experience to the table. That is what often makes the difference between a so-so professor and a great one.

Koreans know how to market schools to other Koreans. What Koreans don't know is how to properly educate someone, unless racism and nationalism qualifies.

Proud on Leitner to be a youngest teacher from US. I heard about him a lot. He is good at his profession.

Good for him. Probably a bit of a pay cut, but hope he enjoys his time here. Pretty sure salaries are the same across the board at SNU, so he won't get any more just for teaching in the College of Law.

Poor guy's gonna have a brain aneurysm when he walks down the isle of a legit department store like E-Mart and see the knock-off DVD's and T-Shirts being sold--probably a dozen international trade laws being violated right there.

Never seen anything in E-mart that seems to violate international trade laws. However, if you walk outside of E-mart, that might be believable.
