I know all lot of you go to Itaewon. I was just wondering what you guys/gals thought about Limelight. Also are there any clubs that are big with comfortable sofas beside Limelight? Delete Korean booking clubs.

Do you mean "beside" or "besides"?

Sincerely,

I've only been in Helios once but I think it may have had some comfy sofas. There are a few at Hollywood upstairs but it's more of a pub-like atmosphere rather than a club.

limelight is pretty cheesy, but not much different from the old Hollywood that they put out of business. the drinks cost more there too. they used to have russian go-go dancers on tuesday or something. weird ....

I hate to bring this up again but please do not go to Helios. I reckon I'll get stick for saying this but there was a very ugly incident with the bouncers and some of their 'friends'. Everyone knows about this and it involved baseball bats and a group of mainly Irish people.

I hate these kind of posts.

Just b/c some pissed up white guys got their asses kicked doesn't mean that every foreigner should boycott the bar. In fact, one of my buddies told me that those guys weren't exactly innocent. The goon squad may have went a little bit far. but then again. I bet those guys won't act like asses again.

Amen. As long as you aren't out looking for a fight, Helios is a great place.

And none of the people involved (or close friends of theirs) stepped up to tell exactly what had happened. There was a lot of discussion about the incident which was mostly hearsay and conjecture. I've met the "Irish crowd" in Itaewon several times and things do have a tendency to get out of hand because of some senseless bit of stupidity.

What the ****?

Im good friends with a lot of the 'irish crowd' and they are a top bunch of lads and lasses. Their side of the story appears to be genuine and they dont seem to get in any trouble of that sort anywhere else so I for one believe them.
However, while im prepared to boycott the place in support of my mates, it is a bit much to ask complete strangers to do the same.

As for limelight, I think that place is garbage. Ive been three times in the last couple of months and each time has been worse than the last.
I was in there on saturday night and the place was 75% male, 15% skank korean girls and 10% russian hookers by my estimation.

Not my idea of a good place to cop off.

Don't get me wrong. I like hanging out with the Irish crowd. However, in light of the publicity that this incident got, the silence from them about the particulars was strange if they were in no way to blame.
The last time I was out with some of them they almost got into a fight with an ajoshi over stealing a traffic cone. He wanted to beat their asses with a stick he was carrying. How ridiculous is this. Over a traffic cone. But I like them nonetheless.

The bar offered the Irish money if they kept quiet about this. They did, but they never got paid and now nobody cares anymore. Straight from the Irishman's mouth.
