Errr, because Koreans don't and it's just not generally done. But, you go right ahead.

That was insightful and informative. Do you have a reason other than that?

I didn't say that I condone or oppose it. I just want to get the real reason why it is not done or accepted, and you seem to know about this phenomenom throughout all of Asia. Please share the reasons behind it.

My view is that it's only a "moral" issue in select areas of North America where there are some truly bullshit laws regarding minimum wage. (and not tipping might result in something unsavory happening to your product or service. I know it happens because I have personally participated) Almost everywhere else in the world has gratuity factored in or people are payed a close to decent wage.

It is because Asian people believe that they are always giving you their best service. If you are getting the best service then there is no need to tip. And, have you ever gotten anything service? It's free cause it's service.

I've ordered take outs from dominoes and mcdonalds. Are you supposed to tip the delivery guy? I feel kinda guilty ordering 6,000 won of food. I mean, it is winter..and the dude is riding his scooter...

No tipping in Korea. Some Western-style restaurants get people to tip so they might expect it.
