Hello everyone,
Who here is anticipating a holiday bonus?

I, for one, am really curious as to what mine will be. Everyone here is being quite zip lipped about it but the excitement is definitely there.

When I was in the education game here I usually got a tuna or a spam set, or sometimes a tuna and a spam set for the holidays. This time I know its going to be cash- I just dont know how much. Confused

So what (if anything) are you guys expecting this holiday? Whats the best bonus and worst bonus you have ever received here? My best was (so far) 500,000 won worth of Hyundai department store gift certificates, my worst was the spam set.

If I'm lucky, my severance and last two weeks' pay. My last day is the day before Seollal, and my boss is really being really cranky about the fact that I chose not to sign on again, and that she doesn't have a replacement yet.

We shall see....

Do you think Korean sales of spam prop up global Spam Inc.
You never hear about anyone buying it in Australia..
I'd like to see a graph but I reckon Korea must lead the world in spam consumption.. yet another fact to be proud of Smile

Doubt I will get anything.

I usually don't get anything. I think last year for chusok we got dove soap...but we were told we weren't getting anything. I laid a little guilt trip on my supervisor how he could at least take us drinking for all the OT we'd done. Guess soap is cheaper than booze Razz

I miss that about my hawgwon days, nice envelope of cashie.

Most I got was probably 200-300k back in my hawgwon days.

Worst is...um...nothing?

We usually get something on teacher's day though...last two times it has been something I couldnt use though so....

Should I watch Jerry McGuire with my supervisor and shout "Show me the MONEY" a lot afterwards?
