Someone bumped into me just after I entered the subway and a few minutes later, I noticed that my wallet was gone. This happened at Yatap on Friday night. So much for feeling safe here. |

Just go back to the immigration office and they will give you a new one for you for a small fee. |

You will need a police report for the stolen card, an application form and 10k won. They will replace it while you wait (takes about 20 minutes).

Keep your wallet out of your back pocket. Front pocket, or inside jacket pocket is preferable.

It was in my purse, which was sorta open as I'd just been rifling through it to find my T-card. Somebody must have been paying attention to where I put it, too bad it wasn't me. |

But she should just claim she lost it. Does she really need a police report? Is that just to cover her legally in case anyone uses her personal info? |

My wallet was also stolen recently.
I didnt do a police report.
Just go to immigration with 10k. Fill out the form, there are 2, a standard ARC form and a report of lose form. You do have to describe how you lost it. I wrote down "i lost it while shopping" because i'm only here one more month and don't want to deal with a police report.
Last year i had to come back a week later (daejeon immigration) and this year they did it up in 20 min (busan immigration). Yes i lose things often
Bring ur passport and any photocopies of your ARC if you have em, makes things go faster.
Side note: I you ever lose your korean driver's license you just have to go to your local police station n it gets replaced in a week!! Some things in this country are so efficient. |
