Ok so I called Korean Air to ask about bringing my dog. I don't have a ticket reservation yet. The girl on the phone quoted me a price, but then when I told her the pet would not be flying in the cabin, (too big) she told me that it would be impossible to bring her. ???
There must be a miscommunication. Which is probably what I should expect for the next year, huh?
Just in case, anyone heard of any new rule about dogs not being allowed to fly unless they are with you? And should I just keep calling until I get someone who knows what I'm talking about? |

Call back. I have two that fly with me - one in cabin and one in special cargo. The price is the same for each dog regardless of which room they fly in. |

First, don't fly Korean Air. It is overpriced. If money isn't an issue for you, or your flight is being paid for, then it doesn't matter.
I just flew with my dog (Sing. Air) from Korea to Canada. I have a 85 pound golden. It cost me about 200 bucks extra for him to come with me. |

Korean air only costs $20 more, and they are fanastic with their pet service. Sing Air may be good too, but I think it is important for people to know which airlines are great to fly with concerning pets - fast and efficient with the paperwork, and attentive to the pets. Flown several times with Korean Air because I have dogs, and never a problem. |

If you haven't booked your ticket yet, there are two specialist pet travel services that you can call to assist you with booking a ticket for you and a place for your dog.
Try either Chung Wha Pet Travel on 02 792 7602 or PetAirline on 02 2667 0112 |

there are some blackout periods during winter or summer. I would suggest checking the website.
btw, I would keep calling until you figure something out. (I had to do it with nearly everything.)
check the Animal Rescue Korea website. Loads of information there. loads of foreigners in Korea with their pets |
