Hello everybody
I'm a newbie, about to come to Korea for the first time. I apologize is if topic has been posted before, but if it has, I must have missed it.
I'm a t-shirts and jeans type of guy. Outside of work, I'm hardly ever seen not wearing a baseball cap. I understand that at work, as in the US, I would need to look a little more professional. However, outside of work, is it socially acceptable to wear t-shirts, jeans, and baseball caps or will we offend some of the people? |

| jeans, t shirts etc are fine. just make sure you take weather permitting clothes because theres such a huge difference between summer and winter. oh if you have any expensive t shirts or t shirts you really like i wouldnt suggest wearing them(much) in the summer as they would get destroyed by sweat etc. |

| No, they're not acceptable. You have to wear a suit everyday even outside of work or you will be shunned by society. Make sure it is 3 sizes too small and wear shoes that have a man-heel. |

Yeah, you gotta wear a shiny suit with a pink and orange tie. Also white
sport socks are mandatory with the suit. Then wear suspenders and
a belt. Moreover, a little handbag is also a good idea as is putting mousse
in your hair. |

| The biggest problem with the 'current economic crisis' is that Korea's becoming more and more attractive to people who have no business leaving their own house, let alone their country. |

wear whatever you want - most koreans dress like k-mart rejects - clothes here are a little more expensive than in America and there are no thrift shops so I would recommend bring everything you want from home -a lot of name brand stuff is double what it would cost in America -
most Korean guys in their early 20's dress just like you
wait a minute, is this a troll...... |

Someone shouldn't come here because they wear t-shirts and jeans?
The biggest problem with the "current Korean 'teacher'" is that many are complete douche bags. Chelsea boots =/= style anymore. |

Uhhh?
assuming that was misguided sarcasm:
"just like you" referred to the OP - Jeans, t-shirt, baseball cap.
If it wasn't sarcasm and you really wear Ask Enquired and Fubu, well, that's your problem.
Personally.....yeah boy, I'm the dope man, wear corduroy..... |
