I asked the same question about Bucheon, as I'm about to head there at the end of February. Looks like a dope place; close to Seoul, relatively good sized, decent shopping and bars (foreigner and otherwise) Here's the link to the post regarding Bucheon. Hope that helps

I live in Bucheon. Bucheon has had the honour of hosting me for the last 18 months.

What can I tell you about the place? Very little. Why?

Because I don't go anywhere really. Laughing

It has everything you need, it is near Seoul and I think it is ok.

I live near a big Homeplus too, have you read my 'Market real Brownies' thread?!! Laughing

I'll be working at a public school in bucheon for gepik. PM me if you'd like more details. Yea, i was in japan for a year, but wasn't just stuck in the sticks. i lived in kagoshima for 6 months, and in nagoya for 2. the rest of the time i was substitute teaching and moving around every 3-4 weeks. i'm still waiting on my assignment letter from GEPIK, although my recruiter already told me which school i'd be teaching at (hope that they're being honest) . . .

My wife and I live in Bucheon. We have a blog on lots of Bucheon related stuff, which might be of use to you, including many videos and pictures of it.

I'm moving to Bucheon at the end of Feb too. The Eat Your Kimchi blog above is a good read and has loads of interesting info about living in Bucheon. It seems like a decent place to live and not too far from Seoul.

Bucheon is relatively new and apparently quite upscale. You're likely to have a nice apartment, but will probably end up paying a bit more for amenities. It sounds like one of the nicer Seoul satellites to live in.
