Hi guys,
I'm flying out on Tuesday, I've decided to spend Monday in Gwangju. I need help with the following info:
1. Jimjibang near Gwangju bus terminal.
2. Places to visit during the day in Gwangju. No more mountains or temples please.....I've seen enough.
BTW.....I'm a woman, plus I'll be travelling alone.
Thanks a bunch guys. |

Sorry.....forgot the most important question:
Is there a locker rental at the Gwangju Bus terminal? I can't drag my luggage around town while sightseeing.
I change my mind.....temples are OK.
Thanks again. |

Democracy Park is the one place I tell everyone to visit if they don't see anything else in Korea.
It's a great memorial to the pro-democracy movement in K's history. If you are near the bus terminal - there's a tourist info booth who will be able to direct you there. There's a bus that you can take (local bus) tho a taxi might be faster, it's a bit of a ride. depends on your schedule.
The park is huge, you can spend at least 2-3 hours walking around, visiting the museum, be sure and go to the underground part they have a good photo and video exhibit.
Have fun!
oh - there's also the huge art museum there where the Biennale is held ever 2 years - and regular exhibitions other times - but most museums in the world are closed on Mondays - so ask first about this one.
also at least 2-3 hours worth |
