Thank you. I didn't realize that, about Koreans traveling only after 1980. Makes sense, though.
Although Koreans certainly do quite a bit now. I believe the number of Koreans who travel abroad is double the number of foreigners who travel into Korea.
Talked with a couple of guys in a bar last night about our experiences in China and the one who'd never worked there was pretty interested in checking it out.
Either place is kind of a trade off to me. Pluses and minuses. |

Korea was pretty closed off until fairly recently (as another poster has pointed out) and their media is hardly balanced either. |

| So many foreign English teachers keep telling me that China is so great, blah, blah, blah, and then year after year I keep seeing those same teachers working here in Korea. If it's so great, why aren't they all there? |
