In the US, I think it's pretty much a proven fact that a man's standard of living increases after a divorce, and the woman's standard of living decreases, generally speaking. Don't ask me to explain it, but that's my understanding.

It's called income. Women don't make as much as men. Why? Many reasons.

The fundamental point though, is who gets screwed in a divorce/split, in terms of assets and children. Answer: men.
If you argue that point, I would call you ridiculous. Just ask yourself the last time you heard a woman say "I got screwed in my divorce" versus the last time you heard a man say that. Women get alimony, men don't. Women get child support, men don't. Women get the house, men don't. Alimony ends when the women gets remarried. Meaning, it can go on FOREVER.

This isn't rocket science folks.

unless you are in korea!
as korean men get everything, even if the women was the breadwinner
he takes it all!!!

This just makes me sick. I can't believe that there is a defence to this.

I think they should repeal the no fault divorce clause.

This dad in Texas has to pay child support for four kids. One of them is his and the other three were from his wife sleeping around with other dudes.

Here's a sobering statistic from the article: According to a survey by the American Association of Blood Banks, of 300,626 men tested in the year 2000almost all, presumably, with reason to be doubtful about their children's paternitysome 30 percent found out they were not related by blood to children they had thought were theirs.

There are guys who do the ESL thing to get out of the alimony/child support predicaments, but it's surprising that it's not more common.

I'm sure the homes almost always going to the wife doesn't do anything to reduce the amount of fire insurance fraud.
