As part of my GEPIK contract, I was given a good quality television set.
I had to pay some money to my house owner at the start of this contract, for the various channels I use, or something like that.
I used to watch t.v. when I first came to Korea, just to see what it was like.
But now, I never use it at all. I watch everything on my laptop.
The t.v. I have is pretty big and I am beginning to resent it, sitting in my apartment, it serves no purpose (and I dust it each week too).
If I renew my contract in May, I intend to return the t.v. to my school.
I'll explain that I don't use it.
It'll save me money with the house owner, and I won't have to dust it anymore.
Do you use your t.v.? |

| Be careful, don't return it quite yet and think you'll save 40 or 50,000 won/month. It might include the Internet service as well. That's the situation at my place. |

| I watch my TV all the time. Watching on a laptop just doesn't do it for me. I just finished watching the Super Bowl on SBS. I watch the Discovery Channel a lot. I think tonight will be Deadliest Catch. I like Law and Order and the Simpsons. |

Thank you everybody. The thing is if I watch something online, if the picture is bad, it will be just be a bigger version of that.
I also like the cosy feel of sitting in front of my laptop screen.
Over the last few years, I've really found watching t.v. painful.
The programmes on t.v. in England are tedious.
Everything I use comes from my laptop, I don't need a t.v.
Dust does settle everywhere, but if I didn't have this t.v., it would reduce my overall 'dusting time' by at least 1 minute. |
